Poem: The Story of My Life

I’ve been up

I’ve been down

I was lost but now I’m found

God put me back on solid ground

After he had to tear me down

Everything I ever wanted I got

That doesn’t mean it didn’t cost me a lot

I’ve been to hell and back

While snacking on a Kit-Kat

Yes, I did that

And that’s a fact

I’ve seen the devil in my face

You think I would run

But instead, I picked up pace in a fierce race

Then my Grandma stepped in my place and ended the chase

I’ve been embraced by Jesus and my Kundalini was activated

It was pure bliss, but nothing could compare me for this

A Kiss from the Divine

And hearing the words you are mine

All caught up in the ecstasy

And feeling the best of me

I refused to give up the thought

That the Divine lives in me and I am of Divine essence

I went to sleep one night Brenda

And woke up Shanae

The Divine Feminine in me has risen

And now I’m free to be

Who I was always meant to be
